Do you accept children as new patients?

Yes! White Sands Dental in Buderim welcomes patients of all ages including babies, toddlers and children. We create a friendly and relaxed environment to make every child’s dental visit a positive experience.

How often should my family visit the dentist?

We recommend a check-up and clean every 6 months for most patients. Regular visits allow our Buderim team to detect and treat any issues early, keeping your whole family’s teeth healthy and strong.

How much does a family dental check-up cost?

At White Sands Dental a check-up and clean with X-rays costs $249 for new patients and $225 for existing patients. We accept all major health funds including Medibank, Bupa, HBF and NIB.

Does Medicare cover children's dental treatment?

Yes. The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) provides up to $1,095 over 2 consecutive calendar years for basic dental treatments for eligible children aged 2–17. White Sands Dental is a registered CDBS provider — ask our team if your child is eligible.

What age should my child first visit the dentist?

We recommend bringing your child in for their first dental visit when their first tooth appears or by their first birthday. Early visits help children become comfortable at the dentist and allow our team to monitor their dental development from the start

Do you offer payment plans for family dental treatment?

Yes. White Sands Dental offers payment plans through Afterpay and Zip to help make dental care affordable for the whole family. We also accept 20+ health funds to maximise your benefits.

What preventative dental treatments do you offer for families?

Our Buderim family dental services include check-ups and cleans, X-rays, fissure sealants for children, fluoride treatments, mouthguards, and personalised oral hygiene advice. Prevention is always better than cure and we are here to keep your whole family smiling.
